Fit Out involves the installation of the interior components and additional structures of a boat once the hull is complete. Refit is the changing of parts of an existing boat, either for maintenance, enhancement or refurbishment.

In a Fit Out or refit you will read plans and specifications to fit or maintain key marine components, such as bulkheads, decks, cabins, upholstery engine beds, propeller shafts and steering gear.

You will work with diverse materials such as Fibreglass, timber and Composites. Using a variety of tools and machinery, you’ll work in timber joinery, surface finish and dressing.
