You will be testing sail shapes, sail loads, durability, sail curvature and load bearing yarns. You could be doing stress, performance and aerodynamic analysis on the asymmetric spinnakers of ocean racing multi-hulls and high performance yachts. Attention to detail and measuring of fine tolerances and changes will be needed for every sail that you test.

Your discoveries will be fed through to the design team who will make modifications to sails that you will test again, in the constant process of technological improvement.
