While the boat builder is responsible for building the original boats, it’s the Shipwright's Services's Services who maintains and repairs them once they leave the boatyard.

As a Shipwright's Services's Services, you will work with the latest technology to repair all types of vessels from small pleasure craft through to a range of competitive, commercial and naval vessels. You will work with a range of materials including metal, wood, aluminium, Fibreglass, plastic, and Composites.

You will often work as part of a team. The work is very physical and you will need to be agile and have good hand-eye coordination. As a Shipwright's Services's Services, you will work on the waterfront in shipyards, in the repair sections of ports or in small boat yards and marinas.
